Boys will Be Boys

A Day in the life at out house. Just a little glimps at what it is like to have two little boys and one big one.

It all began with Corbin removing all the cushions of the couch and making a fort.

The fort soon became a pile of pillows. Where the wrestle match begans.

It didn't take long before mom had to lay the smack down.

Hope your lifes are all filled with this much crazyness. What fun would it be if they weren't.

It the Most wonderful Time of the Year

Hopefully everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had a great day playing football and basketball, watching the parade, eating lots of turkey and mashed potatoes, and then going to the movie. What a fun day it was. The next morning as tradition my mom and I woke up early to do some shopping (we got some good deals) and that afternoon Jer and my dad went golfing. As if the weekend couldn't have been better all ready we watched BYU beat Utah on Saturday with a winning play by Oz (my cousin Austin Collie).

I really love Thanksgiving, but even more I love that when it's over it means it's Christmas time. The house is all decorated and the tree is up and we are half way done with the outside lights. How exciting is that I can put up outside lights. This is the first year I have had a house of my own to do that. I tried to get Jer to put lights on the top roof line last night. He got to the top of the ladder and told me that his life was worth more. So this year we will be going low with the lights.

Beck is getting so big. How big I am not sure because I still have not been to the Doctor for a well check. I called yesterday and gave them hell and they got me in on the 4th. Anyways, he is crawling and climbing and even stands for a whole two seconds on his own. He says mamama and dadadad and bababa, but mostly ahhh and eeeehhh in a squealing sort of way.

Corbin is hysterical. I am absolutely loving sharing all the Christmas traditions with him. He is especially fond of the Santa bringing toys tradition. He is very into his list for Santa and lets me know in every store which things he wants on his list. I made the mistake the first time putting some of those items in the cart and telling him that we were going to give them to lady and have here put them on his list and deliver the list to Santa. Now he thinks that every toy needs to be brought to the cashier to be put on his list. All I can say it that It was a rookie move and I am a rookie mom, so I have learned my lesson. The whole coal in the stocking thing is working wonderfully though. I have ended many temper tantrums with just the mere mention of Santa watching or just humming "Santa Claus is coming to town". I would say I can't wait for Christmas, but as always I am enjoying the build up to the day so much that I don't want to speed up. Hope everyone is enjoying the season too. Can't wait to see your cards and family pics.

Halloween

I can not believe it is already November. October was a fun month. We did all the traditional Halloween stuff to keep us busy. Corbin and Beck went to the pumpkin patch 3 times this year. Once with mom and dad, once with Monka (thats grandpa) and Grandma, and once with Corbin's preschool class. We had a lot of fun choosing Corbin's costume this year. Every day we had the great fortune of him chosing a new thing to be. We settled on choosing a dragon for him. He mixed it up though by telling people he was a monster dragon or a dinasaur. We had a blast trick or treating last night. Corbin was really good at getting a little more candy at each house by helping him self. We were so impressed by our neighbors decorating skills. There were all sorts of scary scenes and haunted houses.

I started music makers this month. I was missing LA so I decieded I would start the mom and me class here. I am a little overwhelmed right now, but I am sure once we get going I will be glad I started it. Primary was in charge of our church Halloween party so I was really busy planning and setting the party up. The best part of this month was joining the gym. Jer and I will get to work out together again. They have great babysitting and the boys love it.

Now I am looking forward to eating some Turkey this month!

Summer is Over and Fall is in the air

We had a BUSY summer. We had fun vacationing in Tahoe, San Diego, LA, and Santa Cruz. By the end of the summer we were happy to just be home for the next couple of months. Work has been really busy for Jer, but it is going really well. He is enjoying the opportunity to build a great ethics program from the ground up. He is going in about half the time which is about 2 1/2 hours round trip. The upside is that he is been able to listen to lots of books on tape. He has been able to listen to the scriptures several time. He informed me last night that he used the word Ye verily in a meeting yesterday and the lady he was talking to said I love it when you say that. Is there such thing as reading too much scripture? Beck and Corbin are great. Beck and Corbin are starting to play together a little. It mostly consists of Corbin getting in his face saying "you are so cute arent you little baby" in a very mimicing way. Beck is covering some distance in the house, but still mostly in the form of a backward scoot. He loves to eat and is happy to eat anything we put in front of him even if it isn't food. Corbin is still going strong collecting sticks. He is as clever as always. Last week he taught me a new word. A Bagabooster n: a type of rocket that flies really really high in the sky. We are trying to get it put into the 2008 edition of webster.

Sun Valley Vacation

Jeremy, Corbin, Beck, and I just spent a week in Sun Valley. We met my whole family there. We did a lot of celebrating while we were there since it was Corbin and Jer's birthday, Fathers day, and Jer and I's 7th anniversary. On Monday Jer's brother, Ryan and his boys Asher and Tate came and spent the day with us. The boys had a fun time cheering Jer on as we went off roading. My comments were less on the chearing side more on the worried for our car side. We made it back to tell the tale though. The next day was the highlight when we spent the day at red fish lake. We took an amazing hike and Corbin went fishing for his first time. It is the last time we will see that pole since we lost it the next day, who knows were. We did lots of other fun things on the trip too. We went swiming at the pool alot. Everytime it was an unpleasant battle trying to get Corbin out of the water. One day we even swam in some natural hotsprings. My parents, Jer (with the boys in the trailer) and I went for a 25 mile bike ride. Beck was ticked at about 18 miles so we had my sister Manda come pick him up. We had great meals, went to the movies, did a little bowling (I almost beat Jer), rented a lot of DVD's, and I even found an amazing home store that I am still drowling over. It was a blast and sad to leave (that may be because we had a 12 hour drive ahead of us).
