Super Hero Training Camp

For Corbin's birthday we decided it had to be a superhero theme, since that is all we live and breath at our house. We choose the perfect year to do it too. Because of all the superhero movies this summer, it was easy for me to find superhero supplies. I sent all of his friends an superhero CD (a compolation of superhero theme song and songs with superheros in them. IE Kryptonite by three doors down, and Superman by REM, etc.) There are a suprizing number of songs out there. I was able to find about 12 from my own music collections. Anyway on the CD there was an invitation for Superhero training camp. With my number to reserve thier spot.

As the kids got to the house we let them play upstairs with Corbin's superhero action figures. When everyone arrived each kid recieved thier cape and mask and superhero name and super power.

The boys played silly string the villian. A new version of pin the tail on the Donkey. They had a hard time pushing the button down on their own.

Next we got the parachute out and played capture the villian.

The boys worked on their listening skills and played Yoda says.

Next we started our obstacale course.

First they had to drive the bat mobile across Gotham City.Next they had to walk across the hot lava pool.

Next they had to jump over buildings in a single bound.

Then they had to climb spider mans web and crawl thru batman's bat cave.

Then they lifted the hulks weight and down Mr. Freezes ice shoot.Next crawl like cat women thru the tunnel.

Superman Fly down the slip and slide and throw water ballons at the bad guys (target).Corbin loved his cupcakes and presents.

Beck was so excited to get a cupcake! Num Nums as Beck calls it.

June's festivities

We had a great week. The 3rd week of June is as Crazy as Christmas for us. We celebrate father's day, Corbin's Birthday, Jer's Birthday, and our aniversary. Its a little chaotic, but lots of fun.
For Jer's B-day we went to Yosemite for the day. The boys (all three) were in heaven. I have to admit, I had a great time too. We can't wait to get back to there and stay for a few days. We would love to have some company if anyone is interested.

Beck loved playing by the lake and ran back and forth from the water back to me.

The whole fam hanging out by the lower waterfall at Yosemite.

Jer cooled the boys off with a dip in the stream

Beck kept walking over to the fence and looking over it. He looked like a little man. It was cracking me up.

Just like Monka. Beck sticking out his tounge to the side.

Jer loves to show off his unusually large tounge.

Corbin had a great 4th Birthday. We celebrated 3 times. Father's Day was his actual birthday, but we decided to keep things simple we would celebrate the next day. That being said we were at my parents house on Fathers Day so we did celebrate a little with the family. On his birthday we took him to Chucky Cheese. Which I think his love is equal to my loathing of the place. He had a great time and therefore it was worth it. He had his friend party two days ago. Pictures to come.
Corbin got a new bike from Grandma and Papa. He loved his power ranger gear from Lance and Mia. We of course gothim some great superhero toys and some other fun stuff.
Grandma and Monka got him his very own sports car. We are hoping they will trade it in for the real deal in 12 yrs.
We went to the pool with our friends.

It was hysterical trying to get the boys to put their arms around eachother. I am not sure if they have ever done that before.

Beck made his own fun and just hang out in the sandy water with his shovel.

May in June

So, I haven't decided if I am a worse blogger or picture taker. I am pretty sure I haven't taken any pic of my kids in over a month. Why? Mostly because if I don't have pictures than I don't have to scrapbook them. Which is funny because it is not as though I have scrapbooked in the last year. Then again maybe that is why. The overwhelming idea that I have that much to catch up on. Anyways, the point is that I don't like to blog unless I have a picture to accompany it hence the lack of posts. I am going to be better though. Probably not with the blog, but with the pics.
So in May, Jeremy and I went to Arizona. We had a fabulous time. I laid by one of the 15 pools at the hotel, meet my girlfriend for a little shopping, read an entire book (moms know how exciting that is), ate really good food (I'm still working off a few pounds from those meals), went ski diving (AMAZING), visited an old ghost town, and saw 2 movies. Just writing about it makes me nostalgic. Jer's mom watched the boys for the week and I think they have an equally good time. At one point my mother in law said she had been pushing Beck on the swing for 2 hours. It doesn't get any better than that for a 1 year old.
Other than that we have just been living life.
We went a some family outings to the beach, Berkley (gotta love Zachary's pizza), took the boys to see Iron Man (Beck is not fun to take to the movies), and more less noteworthy activities.
I was released from primary last month and am back in YW's. I will miss the primary kids, but I do love working with the youth.
Jer is currently in N.Y. presenting at some conference, the cool part is that Steve Forbes is introducing him. I will let you know how the Forbes/ Wilson family vacation goes next year. I have very high hopes for the union.
We finally finished our porch. Jer and I (mostly Jer) slated our front porch. It was a Big project and took several days. We did finish it though and it looks amazing. Since I don't take pictures you will just have to come visit to see it.
Preschool ended last week for Corbin so we have the entire summer to get into trouble. Until then......
